- Extended seal life due to defined seal compression
- Static seal leak detection for enhanced product safety
- Double lip seal protection against microbial contamination
- Full vacuum capability to ensure process integrity
- Wide range of flow rates and customizable options
- High reliability, low total cost of ownership, and easy maintenance
How does a single seat valve work?
Standard Alfa Laval single seat valves are operated by means of compressed air from a remote location. The actuator smooths operation and protects process lines, while directing or diverting fluids. The valve can be controlled using an Alfa Laval ThinkTop®.
Alfa Laval Tri-Clover® 700 Series
The Alfa Laval Tri-Clover® 700 Series is a range of air-operated single-seat valves that provide years of reliable performance, and have been installed for decades in various food, dairy and beverage plants across the US.
Dependable design
Alfa Laval Tri-Clover 700 Series valves feature a durable and dependable design with rugged plastic stem bushings, which eliminate metal-to-metal galling. In addition, the stem is threaded to the actuator shaft, eliminating the coupling between the stem and actuator, thereby ensuring proper alignment. Bushings at each end of the cylinder support stem also ensure perfect alignment. Finally, each valve features a heavy-duty bonnet and body ferrule design that will stand up to years of pounding from hydraulic shock.
A variety of styles and sizes
700 Series valves are available in both long and short actuators, including a wide selection of shut-off and divert valves. Sizes range from 2" (50 mm) to 4" (102 mm), in normally opened or closed positions. A 32Ra surface finish is standard, with several valve body combination options to choose from.
Helping fill your valve project gaps
Even in this era of continuous mixproof processing, 700 Series single-seat valves are the perfect valve project gap filler. Specifically, if a simple divert valve is needed, consider a 761 divert valve. Or, if a section of your process requires flow diversion, install a series of 762 Flow Diversion valves – as shown.
Key benefits of the 700 Series
- Coated springs provide long life, high-holding pressures
- Valve stem threads onto actuator stem, eliminating coupling
- All wetted parts feature 316L stainless steel
- A variety of ThinkTop automation options
How does the Alfa Laval Tri-Clover® 700 Series work?
The valve is remote-controlled by means of compressed air. It has few and simple moveable parts which results in a very reliable valve.
As an air-operated seat valve, it can be configured with either a short-stroke or long-stroke actuator. The 761 valve has a flexible sanitary design, allowing it to be used in a wide range of applications – as a stop valve with two or three ports or as divert valve with three to five ports.
Alfa Laval LKAP
The Alfa Laval LKAP is a pneumatic single seat valve with a single contact surface between the plug and the seat to minimize the risk of contamination. Compact and straightforward, it is designed for use as a remote-controlled shut-off valve for small flows and for dosing applications.
Key benefits of the LKAP valve
- Handles small product flows and dosing
- Straightforward, compact design
- Easy to maintain due to few moving parts
- Easy to clean with hygienic surface finish
Proven shut-off valve
The Alfa Laval LKAP seat valve is a quality pneumatic shut-off valve that is based on reliable, proven technology. It is ideal to handle small flow rates of up to 9 m³/h and purpose-built for specialty applications, such as a CIP supply valve to Unique mixproof valves or dosing valves in mixing applications.
Clean simplicity
Like all other hygienic Alfa Laval valves, the LKAP features a simple, straightforward design with the fewest possible components and minimal moving parts. Smooth surfaces and sanitary finishes contribute to good hygiene and cleanability.
Shut-off valve range
The standard Alfa Laval LKAP valve is a normally closed (NC) valve with a two- or three-port valve body (LKAP-V and LKAP-T, respectively). Upon request, the LKAP valve is also available as a normally open (NO) valve.
For more information, please refer to Documentation.
Compliance with most hygienic standards
Alfa Laval LKAP valves meet most standards requested in the dairy, food and beverage, and personal care industries. Please refer to Documentation for more information.
How does the LKAP work?
Construction
The LKAP valve consists of an actuator, double lip seal for stem, stem, EPDM sealing and valve body with welding connections. Visual indication of the valve position is provided.
For remote indication of the valve position, an optional reed switch position transmitter is available.
Operating principle
The Alfa Laval LKAP seat valve is a normally closed (NC) valve with a spring return that is controlled from a remote location by means of compressed air.
Options
- Fittings according to required standards
- Bracket with standard M12 sensors for indication of open and closed positions
- Product wetted seals of FPM or NBR
Alfa Laval SB Mini Flow Valve
The Alfa Laval SB Mini Flow Valve is a reliable single seat valve with a single contact surface between the plug and the seat to minimize the risk of contamination. Designed for working in a gas or liquid environment, it is used to close or divert small product flows when hygienic shut off and changeover are required.
Versatile shut-off or changeover valve
With its cost-effective modular design, the multi-application valve can easily be configured either as shut-off valves or change-over valves to meet virtually any requirement. Choose from a pneumatic angle valve, pneumatic two-way valve, drain valve with fittings or drain valve with fittings and clip-on.
Hygienic design
Made of 316L product wetted steel parts, the Alfa Laval SB Mini Flow Valve is designed for fast, easy cleaning, thereby minimizing the risk of contamination. The valves are supplied with threaded pipe couplings for 6/8-mm pipe.
Key benefits
- Versatile shut-off or changeover valve
